About the role

We are seeking an experienced Floor Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Pier St. in Portarlington, VIC. As a casual Floor Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our hospitality operations, providing exceptional customer service and leading your team to success.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant floor, including managing staff, allocating tasks, and ensuring all service standards are met
• Providing hands-on support to the service team, assisting with customer service, food and beverage service, and general floor duties as needed
• Monitoring staff performance, providing feedback and coaching to help develop their skills
• Resolving any customer issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Ensuring the restaurant's presentation and cleanliness are maintained to the highest standards
• Assisting with inventory management and stock control
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and compliance regulations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Floor Supervisor or similar hospitality management role
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide a seamless dining experience
• Proficient in cash handling, inventory management, and other operational tasks
• Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to excellence
