San Remo Ballroom (SRB), located in North Carlton, is one of Melbourne's truly iconic and longstanding events venue. Located just 2km from the city, we host a variety of events from 100 guests up to 550 guests including weddings, gala dinners, award evenings, school & university events.

Winner of the Restaurant & Catering Event/Convention Centre Caterer. As well as ABIA Finalists & Top 3 Melbourne Venue in the Wedding Industry Awards 2024. Recently refurbished and in an exciting growth phase; we are currently seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Event Supervisor to join our growing Operations team.

Our Food & Beverage Event Supervisor will:

• Have flexible availability ready to take on all allocated shifts based on our events calendar (including midweek and weekends). Mostly evening work working alongside our Operations Manager
• Assist in the smooth running of our events, directing and overseeing Food & Beverage staff whilst liaising with the kitchen and operational aspects of the event
• Be customer service driven and a superstar communicator with event organisers and guests to consistently deliver memorable experiences
• Be ahead of the game, passionate, a quick thinker and reliable with excellent attention to detail
• Mentor, lead, motivate and help grow an energetic and diverse group of Food & Beverage event staff
• Be inspired to bring fresh and creative ideas to constantly improve areas within the business. We value your opinion!
• Supervise set up of events to meet the client needs including bump in and bump out of all suppliers

Previous experience in a similar role is strongly preferred or perhaps you are ready to take the leap into a leadership role after years of operational experience.
