$91,677 – $97,586 (pro rata) per year + package (superannuation, salary sacrifice)

Welcome to EveryMan Australia. As a not-for-profit organisation, our purpose is to bring effective and professional services to men at risk of exclusion, discrimination and marginalisation, no matter who they are, or what they've done.

We specialise in working with men living with very high and very complex support needs, and with their partners and families - needs associated with childhood experience of sexual, domestic and family violence, long-term mental health conditions, brain injury, intellectual disability, drug and alcohol dependency, involvement in the criminal justice system and other complex issues.

This is where you come in....

About the role:

As a member of our Operations team, you will provide intake services to people making referrals to EveryMan programs or making enquiries about support for themselves or someone in their lives, and play a key role in supporting effective internal responses to external requests, referrals and enquiries. The role of the Intake Officer is to assist EveryMan to:

  • provide a helpful and effective first response to people contacting EveryMan
  • provide information and support, including referral out, to ensure clients receive suitable support for financial, mental health, disability, domestic and family violence, drug or alcohol use, and legal/justice matters.
  • deliver services in a way which addresses the complexity and diversity of client needs, including culturally and linguistically appropriate options.

What's needed:

We’re looking for people with experience in the community sector working with people experiencing crisis. Understanding of domestic and family violence and trauma is important to the role .

If you want your life to be about being a contribution, and you want the personal and professional growth that will help you deliver on what you're committed to.

We strongly encourage expressions of interest from First Nations people, from people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and from people living with disabilities.

About Everyman

Canberra, ACT, Australia

EveryMan is an organisation focused on men's issues.

We support men who are at risk of homelessness, living with mental health issues like depression or anxiety, living with disabilities, men who are perpetrators or survivors of violence, men who are ex-prisoners, socially isolated, or having relationship or parenting difficulties.

With over twenty years experience, we have the knowledge and tools to work with men through tough times, for change that matters. We use resources and specialist programs to reach real outcomes.

Every man deserves a chance.

EveryMan has been around for over twenty years, supporting men who are at risk of homelessness, living with mental illness or disability, ex-prisoners, perpetrators or survivors of domestic and family violence, men who are socially isolated, having relationship or parenting difficulties, suffering with depression or anxiety. If you're a man, or a family member concerned about a man, we're here for you.

In 2016 we became EveryMan. This new name is distinctive and makes us recognisable to the wider community. This is important, as we have stepped up as thought leaders who advocate and educate about contemporary men's issues - locally and nationally. Now we can use our experience and understanding to speak out for men's issues across Australia.
