Community Resilience Project Officer
- Maximum Term Contract - Grant Funded - Part Time - 30.4 hpw - 3 years
- Salary: $98,667 pa (pro rata) + super

Maroondah City Council is seeking an experienced Community Resilience Officer to join our high performing Community Development Team.
In this role, you will work closely with Council’s Emergency Management team to implement our MaroondahReady project, which is funded through the Australian Government’s Disaster Ready Fund.
Partnering with Maroondah’s community organisations and service providers, you will oversee a range of capacity building initiatives and provide support to key networks and committees, to help prepare our community for increasing disruptions and emergencies.
You will have contemporary knowledge of and experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of capacity building and community development/community strengthening activities and demonstrated experience working and the community service sector.
Your experience in building strong partnerships with a broad range of community organisations combined with excellent project management skills will be key to success in the role.
You will have degree qualifications in community resilience, community development, social sciences, health promotion or equivalent.
Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated for this role.

Maroondah City Council was constituted as a new municipality on 15 December 1994. The City of Maroondah is made up of three wards, with each ward represented by three Councillors.
Council elections were held in November 2012 and the new Council will remain in office until the next election in 2016. Councillors elect the Mayor each year to serve as the principal ambassador for the City.
