The Information and Technology (IT) program provides solutions that support client and stakeholder engagement. It fulfills the Queensland Public Trustee's business needs through IT strategy, ICT operations and support, information management, security, planning and architecture.

About the role

As a Senior ICT Training and Communications Officer, you will play a key role in shaping how ICT information is shared and understood within the QPT. In this role, you'll develop ICT solutions that enhance business processes, create and deliver training sessions and workshops to support end-users and draft and edit communication materials to support the successful adoption of ICT systems and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop ICT knowledge resources
  • Support the creation of training, change management, and communication plans for new ICT initiatives
  • Draft and edit ICT communication materials, including emails and intranet content
  • Develop ICT training materials such as presentations, e-learning modules, user guides, and videos
  • Conduct ICT training sessions, workshops, and information sessions for end-users
  • Assist in developing ICT policies, standards, and system documentation
  • Advise colleagues on ICT training, communication, and stakeholder engagement strategies

About you

You possess strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and user-friendly manner, alongside expertise in designing and delivering ICT training sessions and workshops. Your technical understanding of ICT systems, tools, and knowledge management frameworks will support your ability to create engaging learning materials, user guides, and e-learning resources.

Skills and experience

  • Level 4 Capabilities for Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) as noted on the role description.
  • Demonstrated ability explain technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly way
  • Ability to work autonomously to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills
  • Possession of a ‘C' class driving license is highly desirable
