About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Allrounder to join our dynamic team at Colliery Perk in West Wallsend. As a casual Allrounder, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe. It is a 7 day roster. This includes weekends. Some shifts will require an early start 5am.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee and tea.
• Providing friendly and attentive customer service, ensuring each patron has a memorable dining experience
• Short order cook and assisting with food preparation and service, as required
• Maintaining a clean, well-organised, and inviting work environment
• Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
• Supporting the team in any other duties as needed to contribute to the overall success of the business

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a similar customer-facing role within the hospitality industry
• Strong barista skills and knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
• Short order cooking skills advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
