Our client is a market leader specialising in manufacturing, maintaining, and servicing a large range of underground coal mining plant and longwall equipment. Due to business growth, there is an exciting opportunity available for experienced Mechanical Fitters and Plant Mechanics to join their team.

The Job?

• Maintenance, servicing, and new builds of Underground Mining Equipment, including Loaders, Driftrunners, Longwall equipment and Auxiliary Fans
• Large workshop based in Tomago with a fast growing team
• Multiple rosters available (38 hours week) including both 4 and 5 day work weeks, day and afternoon shift
• Dependant on experience, pay rates range from $55.00 - $62.50 per hour incl. casual loading, plus penalties for overtime

If you have the below, you are in with a shot:

• Mechanical Trade qualification is essential
• Hydraulics 2 or Fluid Power Qualifications preferred
• Flameproof / Ex D Explosion Protection qualifications are highly desirable
• High risk tickets such as Crane, Dogman or Forklift are advantageous
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong commitment to safety and ‘Teaming up for Zero'
