About the role

REBELT (AUST) is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical/Fixed plant Fitter to join our team in Singleton, NSW. As a Mechanical/Fixed plant Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing fixed plant mining equipment. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment and fixed plant
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment, and implement effective solutions
• Carry out inspections, servicing, and repair work to ensure the optimal performance and safety of all mechanical assets
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Mechanical/Fixed plant Fitter, preferably in Mining or similar heavy industry
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Commitment to workplace safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Required licenses and qualifications:

• C class driver's license
• EWP
• Dogging
• Forklift
• Working at heights

Desirable:

• Intermediate rigging
• MDG 25
• Confined space
• Current coal board medical
• Current Yancoal inductions
