Westside Bus Company (a subsidiary of Pulitano Invesments Pty Ltd) specialises in providing School, Urban, and Charter bus services in Ipswich and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a Workshop trade qualified panel beater to join our Redbank maintenance team.

About the role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager your main focus will be maintenance and repair of the bus fleet, compliance with maintenance processes and use of workshop data base.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

• To comply with Work Health and Safety Policies and Work Safe Procedures (JSEAs) at all times,
• Conduct hands on panel and body repair and inspections as directed per company process and manufacturers procedures to achieve compliance with TMR regulations,
• Maintain electronic maintenance records within BaCS to ensure accuracy of completed maintenance and repairs to vehicles,
• Work proactively with the Workshop Manager and Supervisors in maintaining and improving fleet availability,
• Ensure vehicle body and panel maintenance and repair work is conducted in accordance with the manufacturers requirements and specifications,
• Ensure workshop plant/equipment is maintained in good order while applying “best practice” housekeeping at all times,
• Ensure parts and equipment usage is accurately recorded in accordance with stock control policy,
• Conduct panel repair and restoration work only to a skill level that you are qualified and authorised to do.

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum of Cert III Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent qualification;
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant industry experience;
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills;
• Well-developed hand and power tool operation,
• Minimum MR licence;
• Computer literate.
