Our team works on high-end residential construction projects around the Northern Rivers region, specifically Byron Bay, Suffolk Park, Ballina, Lennox Head, Skennars Head and Bangalow.

We have a small management team requiring a bookkeeper who can also perform general administrative duties at our Ballina office from Tuesday - Thursday each week.

This role would suit someone who is looking for approximately 20-25 hours per week. Hours of work can be negotiated to suit the right candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Handling all administrative and bookkeeping duties, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
• Manage cash flows and payments of suppliers
• Daily bank and credit card reconciliation
• TPAR
• Maintaining detailed financial records and budgets
• Providing excellent customer service to clients, suppliers and other stakeholders
• Coordinating office operations, including ordering supplies, filing, data entry and general administration duties as required
• Create systems and processes
• Look for more efficient ways to do things
• Weekly meeting minutes and assigning action items, overseeing these get done by the team

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar administrative or bookkeeping role
• Minimum Cert 4 in bookkeeping
• Proactive, looks for an answer and system-driven
• Strong proficiency in using Xero and Google GSuite and willingness to learn new software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with an eye for detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Someone who wants to work with us long term
