The Management Accountant is a Senior Management role which provides financial insight and guidance to support the business decisions and direction of the organisation. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial part in ensuring good investment decisions are made to ensure the company’s ongoing success.
Ideally, you’re someone who… thrives on analytical challenges, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to analyse complex financial data with precision. As a leader you will be comfortable identifying trends, interpreting key performance indicators, and drawing meaningful conclusions that inform strategic decision-making.
Essential
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, macros, pivot tables) are essential
At least 4 years’ experience in a management accounting or financial analysis role
Experience with accounting software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and management.
Desirable
Professional accounting qualifications (CPA, CA) highly desirable

Main duties and responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Budgeting: Developing and managing the company’s budget while forecasting revenues and expenses.
Financial Forecasting: Predicting future financial performance by considering various scenarios.
Cost Analysis: Analysing the costs associated with different suppliers, projects and operations to identify areas for improvement.
Performance Analysis: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the company’s financial health and identify trends.
Decision Support:
Financial Modelling
: Creating models to evaluate the financial impact of potential business decisions, such as new strategies, suppliers, products and expansion plans.
Strategic Planning: Providing financial input and analysis to support the company’s overall business strategy development.
Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing potential financial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Financial Reporting:
Preparing Financial Statements: Compiling internal financial reports for management review.
Cost accounting: Tracking and reporting on the costs associated with specific projects and departments.
Process Improvement:
Streamlining Financial Processes: Identify and implement improvements to the company's financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Developing and Implementing Financial Controls: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
General Responsibilities:
Staying Current with Accounting Standards and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Reporting: Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
Supervising Staff: Managing a small team overseeing all aspects of transactional finance activities, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
Working with Department heads: Assisting in understanding and managing budget requirments
General education and training: Responsible for the education and development of management in financial knowledge.
Organisation Culture: Demonstrating our company’s values in daily work, ensuring integrity, collaboration, and excellence in all tasks and interactions.
