Description

• Gaining and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the financial reporting structure and general ledger.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, audits, and reporting.
• Overseeing the finance department to ensure adherence to accounting standards and company procedures.
• Managing and supervising daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to Headquarters (HQ) and compliance with ATO activities.
• Assisting the MD and CFO with financial matters, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit activities.
• Reviewing and analysing departmental work to identify opportunities for more efficient procedures and resource usage while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Monitoring and reconciling the general ledger to ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.

Profile

• Based within close proximity to the Northern beaches and willing to work in the office 5 days per week
• A Bachelor/Masters degree in business specialising in Accounting or similar
• CPA/CA qualified with a minimum of 5 years work experience as a Management Accountant or similar
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing a small team preferred but not essential
