Hello everyone, we are hiring!

Our company specializes in constructing drainage Pits (Stormwater Manhole), and we're looking for a “ Formwork Carpenter /Pit Builder/Concretor”. Prior experience is not mandatory but would be an advantage.

Remuneration/rate will depend on experience. This is a very physically demanding and fast-paced job.

Responsibilities and experience:

• Experience to build and construct a range of water supply, drainage, to specification. This include stormwater manholes, slabs, footpath etc
• formwork and steel fixing is highly favourable also
• Ability to work independently, unsupervised as well as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Follow and work within safety guidelines
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Clean from drugs and alcohol (on site testing is conducted)

Requirements:

• Current Australian drivers’ licence and access to a car (at least for the training period)
• Holds a white card and has personal protective equipment (PPE), like a helmet and work boots
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
• Strong practical and manual skills, with the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• Follow instructions with minimal supervision
• Strong focus on safety
• Must live in Victoria, the majority of jobs are located in Melbourne's western suburbs, such as Rockbank, Melton and Manor Lakes.

• A training period of 2 to 4 weeks.
• After training, depending on your performance and interest in the role, we can discuss employment terms and pay rates.
• For the right candidate, we will also provide a company vehicle (work Ute and Fuel Card)
