We are on the lookout for a Construction Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising the construction and maintenance of road and street works. Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily construction operations for the Council, which includes developing inspection schedules, conducting defect inspections, assigning condition ratings, and managing work programs by monitoring workflow and ensuring quality standards.
• Provide support in the planning, management, and leadership of operations, including coordinating performance and activities.
• Develop and manage the budget for relevant activities, ensuring expenditures align with the annual budget.
• Coordinate road closures and allocate resources to support the Council’s disaster and emergency management efforts.
• Exercise judgment and initiative in situations where procedures are not clearly defined.
• Perform additional duties within your capabilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Cert IV in Civil Construction (Desirable)
• Current MR Class or higher drivers license
• Experience managing staff, plant & equipment and subcontractors
• Proficiency using Microsoft programs
• Extensive experience in road construction & maintenance
