Fin Design + Effects, a leading VFX studio located in Surry Hills, Sydney, is seeking a talented and creative Multimedia Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in producing and editing multimedia content, including graphics, animations, and VFX sequences for films, TV shows, and commercials. You will collaborate closely with VFX artists and other departments to ensure seamless integration of digital assets into live-action footage and CGI.

Responsibilities:

• Create and edit digital assets, including 3D models, textures, and 2D elements for various visual effects sequences.
• Work on asset integration, ensuring consistency of lighting, shadows, and color grading between live-action and digital elements.
• Develop high-quality textures, materials, and digital assets for VFX production using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with other VFX artists, including compositors and environment artists, to ensure assets are properly integrated into scenes.
• Assist with the preparation and optimization of assets for rendering and final delivery.
• Participate in creative reviews and problem-solving sessions to ensure asset quality and production efficiency.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of visual quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Strong proficiency in industry-standard software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Autodesk Maya, Houdini, and other VFX tools focused on asset creation, modeling, and integration.
• Experience with software like ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Mari for texturing and asset detailing is highly desirable.
• At least 2 years of professional experience as an asset artist, digital artist, or similar role in a VFX studio.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating asset creation, modeling, and integration with live-action or CGI footage.
• Excellent attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
