• Located at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas
• HEWL 5: $74,401 - $84,388 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Joining a team of safety-minded professionals, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant work and learning environment across the University. Your responsibilities include providing advice, conducting safety audits, and implementing improvements to reduce risks and enhance WHS practices. You will support stakeholders in meeting WHS compliance requirements, conduct facility inspections, and promote safety awareness. Additionally, you will develop and maintain safety documents and support continuous improvement of WHS procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A combination of relevant experience and qualifications, including a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, will be highly regarded. However, formal qualifications are not essential, and we welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience and a strong commitment to workplace safety. In this supporting role, you will receive the necessary training, instruction, and supervision to succeed. We value diverse backgrounds and believe that relevant experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for creating a safe work environment can make you a great fit for this role.
