My client are an established, respected and growing business in the Construction industry. This position is newly created due to continued growth of the company's Land Development arm.

This role can be hired as either an Assistant Accountant or an Accountant. Candidates with their CA / CPA qualification complete, in progress, or with the intention to begin studies are all welcome to apply.

This may be best suited to candidates coming from an Accountancy practice, looking to gain experience in industry. This role may also be suitable for someone coming from a similar position in Construction, Property or similar.

The Role

Key responsibilities may include (but not limited to) the following:

• Accounts payable and receivable for multiple projects (entities) in the Land Development industry
• Coordinating with conveyancers, external accountants and ATO regarding tax and compliance
• Preparing and lodging BAS
• Maintain asset register and filing of documents
• Issuing land sale contracts, supporting documentation and managing deposits from sales
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned by Finance Manager, General Manager and Directors

The Person

The ideal candidate will bring to the table the following skills and prior experiences:

• CA / CPA qualified - or either progress towards completion, or intention to begin studies
• Experience from Public Practice Accounting in an environment comfortable with multiple clients and entities would be desirable
• Experience from the Construction or wider Development space would also be advantageous although not essential
• Flexible, hard-working and willing to assist in additional tasks or areas as needed is important
• Full Australian working rights and willing and able to work fully office-based in Keilor
