About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Coordinator to join our team and oversee the successful delivery of capital works and operational projects. This critical role is responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained throughout. You will work on complex and varied projects, including water infrastructure, with a focus on civil construction, mechanical/electrical installation, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery: Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple capital and operational projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Project Management: Oversee a range of concurrent, complex projects, encompassing investigation, design, civil construction, mechanical/electrical installations, and commissioning.
Expertise in Construction Management: Leverage your knowledge and experience in managing construction projects, particularly in the water infrastructure sector, to ensure successful project execution.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and manage all project documentation, including Safety Management Plans, Environmental Management Plans, Quality Plans, Procurement Plans, and more.
Team Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including construction units and external service providers, to ensure smooth coordination and successful project outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Provide expert construction advice, manage client relationships, and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring a proven track record of project coordination and management in construction or engineering projects, ideally within the water infrastructure sector. You thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment and have the ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure project goals are met.
- Certification in Project Management.
- Relevant certification in Construction, Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Full Driver’s License.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and construction methodologies for the construction of water infrastructure assets.
- Demonstrated construction management experience including experience managing a range of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical complex maintenance construction products of water infrastructure construction projects.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage concurrent projects, balancing competing priorities and delivering outstanding results in a demanding environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels, including field personnel and clients.
- Personal computer skills to a level that enables efficient use of project management tools and other office software
