About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to oversee the development, delivery and evaluation of Mental Health Court Liaison Services across Queensland. Provide strategic leadership, monitoring, and evaluation of Court Liaison Services across Queensland, ensuring a consistent approach to Court Liaison Services in terms of model of service delivery, clinical practice, reporting, information management, and data collection.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Oversee the development and/or amendment of policies and procedures for the Court Liaison Services to ensure that service delivery is appropriate, efficient, effective and equitable and develop and implement a standardised approach to training provided by Court Liaison Services to police, magistrates, court staff and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Staff are expected to possess knowledge of, or have the ability to acquire knowledge of, principles of patient-centred care, recovery-focussed care and trauma-informed care.
  • Work as a member of the QFMHS Statewide Team: contributing to organisational goals and objectives, working across forensic mental health program areas and maximising outcomes for consumers of forensic mental health services as a whole.
  • Relevant to the position, participate in the ongoing education, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of safety and quality initiatives including consideration of the national standards and Queensland Safety and Quality Priorities in Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Care.
