Yard Store Hand - Lindsay Meyers

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Yard Store Hand to join our Lindsay Meyers team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our yard by picking and handling timber materials, prioritising safety, and assisting with deliveries (when required, and if licenced to do so). Your initiative and ability to work independently will be highly valued as you contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment.

Lindsay Meyers, a division of Dressed Timber Products Pty Ltd, has been been proudly manufacturing high-quality timber mouldings for over 48 years.

Position Details

• Full time permanent position available.
• Monday to Friday position
• Position available at our Clontarf/Redcliffe location.
• Immediate start (negotiable).

What You'll Do

• Providing friendly service to customers and suppliers.
• Use your product knowledge to assist customers.

• Accurately pick, pack and wrap timber based on customer specifications and paperwork.
• Efficiently and safely loading and unloading vehicles and trucks.
• Maintaining the shed in an organised and tidy manner.
• Liaising with the Production Shed to ensure correct stock levels.
• Restocking racks with materials.
• Operating machinery and equipment (i.e. forklifts) safely and efficiently to move timber around the shed.
• Using drop saw to cut timber for transport purposes.

• Safely lift, carry, and move timber materials, ensuring correct lifting techniques.

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.
• Participate in safety training programs as required.

• You may be required to deliver timber to customers within a local area on a ute/truck (if licenced to do so).
• Ensure safe and timely delivery of materials, maintaining a professional demeanour with customers.
• May be required to hand unload materials.

• Valid forklift licence (required).
• Valid car licence (desirable) .
