The Opportunity
As the Accountant – Finance System Implementation, you will support the rollout of EGSC’s new finance system. This role involves configuring the system, managing data migration, and ensuring financial processes align with business needs. You’ll be working within the existing collaborative arrangements between East Gippsland Shire (EGSC) and Wellington Shire (WSC) Councils.
In this role, you will:
- Support the implementation of the new finance system, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with finance process owners to optimise financial processes and reporting.
- Train and support staff to embed the new system into daily operations.
- Identify and resolve issues post-implementation to enhance system efficiency.
This is a full-time, limited tenure opportunity for 12 months working from Bairnsdale (EGSC) and Sale (WSC). Salary $115,142 – $127,780 per annum + super
What we’re looking for:
- A CA/CPA-qualified accountant with at least three years' financial accounting experience.
- Proven experience in finance system implementation or upgrades, including data migration and process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to extract, manipulate, and interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in training and supporting system users.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
