About the role

If successful, you will facilitate and coordinate student work placements across various Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses. This position ensures students gain meaningful, industry-relevant experiences that align with their course requirements and career goals.

To be considered for these positions, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work placements in education, training, or a related industry
  • Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration, Business, Education, Community Services or similar field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an administration role, in work placement coordination, in vocational education, in industry partnership, in education, social or community services
  • A current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or other qualification in Adult Education
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with community service organisations and employers
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements in the VET sector, including ASQA, Skills First, ACWA and other regulatory framework
  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills including the ability to build and maintain working stakeholder relationships and to advocate on a client’s behalf to achieve effective work placements
  • Ability to maintain respectful, equitable, fair, and honest interaction with clients, staff, and external stakeholders, maintaining a culturally safe and sensitive environment
  • Proven organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, plan work programs, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
  • Proficiency in using databases, spreadsheets, and other relevant software tools
  • Ability to provide clear guidance and feedback to placement students in the context of individual and group supervision
  • Strong knowledge of the VET sector, including industry trends, requirements and job market demands
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent administrative efficiency and record-keeping skills
  • Commitment to creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment
