Location: City of Melville Civic Centre
Salary: $106,244.32 to $118,469.40 pro-rata p.a. + 11.5% Super
Employment Type: 5-year Fixed Term, Full Time
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead security investigations and incident response, making a real difference in our cyber resilience
- Work with cutting-edge tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and threat-hunting technologies
- Engage with the latest cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight) and drive security best practices across the organisation
- Monitoring, analysing, and responding to security threats and incidents
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to stay ahead of risks
- Managing and optimising security tools, ensuring our digital environment remains resilient
- Developing and maintaining security policies and risk management strategies
- Designing security awareness training to build a cyber-aware culture
- Collaborating with IT teams and business stakeholders to enhance security posture
- Be part of a forward-thinking team that values continuous improvement and proactive security measures
What We’re Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
- Industry certifications (or working towards): CISSP, CEH, CISA
- 2-5 years’ experience in cybersecurity or a related field
- Proficiency in security technologies like SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and endpoint protection
- Experience with frameworks such as Essential Eight, NIST and MITRE ATT&CK
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a high-performing team
