We are currently seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to join a well-established Public Practice Accounting firm based in Hawthorn on a part-time, temporary basis. This is a 4-week assignment, working 2-3 days per week, ideal for a highly organised and detail oriented professional looking for short-term work in a supportive environment.

About the Role
This position provides essential administrative support to a team of accounting professionals, ensuring smooth day to day operations.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering incoming calls, managing emails, and handling client correspondence
  • Greeting clients and coordinating meeting room bookings
  • Assisting with document preparation, filing, and compliance processes
  • Managing ATO and ASIC correspondence
  • Processing income tax returns and maintaining client records
  • Organising office supplies, catering, and general administrative tasks
  • Coordinating training sessions and tracking staff CPD hours
  • Supporting event planning and internal travel arrangements

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of administration experience, ideally within professional services
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • A proactive and team-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team
