Job tasks and responsibilities

We are seeking an Experienced Medical Receptionist, for a permanent full time position, four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday), approx. 33-38hrs per week.

For immediate start.

Prior experience in a medical reception role is essential.

To fulfil this role we would require someone to be:

• Adaptable and tech-savvy, with strong proficiency in Best Practice, Medical Director, Pracsoft or similar medical reception software with experience in Medicare processing.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional, with exceptional communication skills and a passion for providing high-quality patient interactions and customer service.

Skills and experience

Selection criteria include

• Prior experience in a medical reception role; minimum 1 year experience preferred
• Knowledge of software systems, Best Practice preferred
• Experience with Medicare processing
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Knowledge of patient privacy, booking appointments, and patient registration
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Well-presented
• Experience coordinating communication between Doctors and patients
• Empathy and a mature approach to patient care
