About the role:
Reporting to the Team Leader the Fitter Operator will maintain and repair machinery within our clients Clayton facility, which produces beverage cans. The role also includes complying with all HSE requirements, and ensuring action is taken to resolve problems and ensuring good performance of equipment.

Duties:

• Working on Maintenace of the wastewater management system.
• Assisting in breakdown repairs of manufacturing equipment.
• Rebuilding of machine parts in the workshop.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance on production equipment such as air pressured conveyors, belt conveyors, pressure testing machines, and other machinery used in the production of beverage cans.

Shift:
7:00am - 3:30pm

Hourly Rate:
$60.09 p/h

Requirements:

• Background in mechanical applications.
• Mechanical trade qualifications.
• Preferable with exposure to milling/lathing or tooling
• Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, tools, and equipment.
• Manufacturing process experience.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Skilled in using various hand and power tools.
• Competence in welding, cutting, and machining techniques.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work in different environments.
• Ability to work un-supervised.
