Network Architect

Green Light is a growing consulting organisation known for its work in Telecommunications and System Integration Services organisations. We have a requirement with our client partner for a Network Architect to join their team on a 12 -month contract based in Melbourne. The client is using Cisco SD-WAN, Aruba LAN and Palo Alto Firewalls

As a Network Architect, this role offers the right candidate the opportunity to drive improvements and plan the future of the corporate global network. Working closely with internal team members and vendors, your experience, expertise, communication and excellent analytical skills will be critical to the successfully delivery of improvements across the globe.

As these initiatives impact systems and stakeholders across the world, a consulting mindset and strong oral and written communication skills are of utmost importance, as is the ability to get "hands-on technically" and be a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a review of existing network and security controls to develop a roadmap for updates and improvements
• Plan and execute roadmap priorities (projects) identified through the review
• Develop network documentation and diagrams to improve knowledge, critical for planning the next steps
• Analyse data and work with key stakeholders to develop requirements for the next stage of the global network
• Define and plan the project approach to the next iteration of the network

Key Capabilities:

• Exceptional networking knowledge and understanding of SD-WAN, SASE and developing networking and complimentary technologies
• Strong technical and business analysis skills across IT and OT networking in a complex mining environment
• Excellent written documentation and communications skills, with an audience across all levels from shop floor, IT / OT technical and management
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation and technical designs etc
• Proven ability in project delivery and / or consulting space to manage stakeholders, expectations and proven ability to deliver to promise
• Ensure operational processes are documented and handed over
• Work closely with other IT teams locally and internationally to deliver critical business and IT outcomes
