We are looking for a part or full time Operations Officer (Finance) to join our team. The position will be responsible for daily financial operations, the successful applicant will be someone who is team orientated and has the ability to be flexible in their role.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for an individual to join a wonderful workplace in the role of Operations Officer (Finance). The successful applicant will undertake the following duties:

  • Complete daily remittance and bank reconciliation.
  • Responding to financial requests within the organisation.
  • Working within the Xero accounting software to manage business needs
  • Following up on outstanding accounts
  • Financial reporting for the Director of Business Operations
  • Administrative duties including scheduling of appointments, responding to general enquiries, restocking / ordering stationery and equipment, billing, and completion of relevant paperwork.
  • Manage diaries including contacting relevant people to arrange appointments.
  • Provide support to the team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day business.
  • Manage and maintain filing and electronic information systems in a timely and proficient manner to ensure effective retrieval of information and ease of access with a focus on confidentiality.
  • Relevant data entry
  • Assist business management in undertaking administrative duties
  • Where possible, provide support and backup to other office staff during leave periods and staff shortages

Skills and experience

We are looking for candidates who possess a professional aptitude and are able to demonstrate a level of relevant experience. In addition to providing a resume and cover letter successful applicant should address how they have demonstrated the following skills:

  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, with a high level of discretion, and effectively liaise with clients while maintaining a high level of stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Experience with financial data entry and billing.
  • Experience with Xero accounting software
  • Experience with the financial operation of the NDIS including managing the NDIS my place provider portal and the PACE system
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgement in a dynamic clinical environment, including the ability to undertake and prioritise multiple tasks within established guidelines, time frames, delegations and instructions.
  • Proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and database packages with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Experience in the use of digital booking management systems
