Intura is currently looking to hire a seasoned Civil Construction Supervisor to manage the intricate civil works for a solar farm project located near Gympie.

In this position, you will report directly to the Site Manager and will be tasked with the daily coordination of all work groups essential for the successful execution of site-based civil construction activities, ensuring they are conducted safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

You will also take on a leadership role at the site, overseeing all planning and scheduling aspects, including the management of external civil contractors.

This position is based on-site in Gympie, with work scheduled from Monday to Saturday. While local candidates are preferred, we are open to considering a 10 & 4 roster for non-local applicants. A Living Away Allowance will be provided for candidates residing in Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily construction activities to ensure project milestones are achieved;
• Manage day to day activities of subcontractors on-site (this is a client side role)
• Executing major civil works, including High Voltage installation civil works, bulk earthworks, and detailed civil construction such as concrete foundations and electrical conduits;
• Plan and implement site establishment activities, ensuring compliance with site-specific and contract requirements, including location, fencing, signage, environmental, and traffic conditions;
• Identify, analyse, and mitigate potential risks, maintaining a risk register and initiating corrective actions as needed;
• Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgets;
• Analyse variances, trends, risks, and opportunities, and highlight significant operational performance issues to management.

Key requirements:

• Cert IV in Civil Supervision is essential;
• Practical knowledge in investigation, design and construction of civil works;
• Strong experience with bulk earthworks, particularly cut & fill works;
• Well-developed communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal);
• Ability to develop and maintain a safe workplace and environment for employees, contractors and visitors;
• Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal customers and external suppliers/subcontractors;
• Personal flexibility to operate in a dynamic work environment;
• Ability to commit to a DIDO from Brisbane / Sunshine Coast / Gold Coast.
