About the role

The Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre is looking for a part-time Social Support Planned Activity worker to join their team in Doveton, VIC 3177. In this role, you will provide social support and planned activities to older adults and people with disabilities within the local community.

What you'll be doing

• Deliver a range of engaging and meaningful social support activities to participants, including group outings, games, arts and crafts, and other interactive experiences
• Liaise with families, carers and other stakeholders to ensure individualised care and support
• Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans and activity schedules
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants
• Maintain accurate records and documentation according to organisational policies

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualification in aged care, disability support, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred social support and activity planning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
• Empathy, patience and a genuine passion for supporting older adults and people with disabilities
• Proficient in following safety and care procedures
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Current First Aid certification and National Police Check
