Mental Health Direct (MHD) offers personalised support to individuals aged 16 and over, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and life stressors. Our fee-based service is designed to keep costs low for clients while maintaining high-quality care. Fees vary depending on the service type, with Medicare rebates available through a Mental Health Care Plan to further reduce costs. The service provides tailored sessions, early access, and greater choice, ensuring affordability and flexibility in mental health care.

Grand Pacific Health (GPH) is a for-purpose community-based organisation. GPH provides high quality health services to assist people in the management of their physical and mental health. GPH’s mission is to provide equitable heath care with an emphasis on helping vulnerable and at risk of disadvantage populations as well as regional communities.

GPH employs over 400 staff including many qualified health and other professionals including peer workers and community workers. GPH operations cover a large regional geographical footprint in NSW and ACT.

About the position

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide professional, evidence-based psychological support to individuals aged 16 and over experiencing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, and adjustment issues. You will deliver fee-based psychological services and offer direct support to clients referred to our Bega services. The role includes working at least one day a week in a GP clinic and helping clients across various streams, such as victim services, workers' compensation, and the Department of Veteran Affairs. Based in Bega, this opportunity is available as a full-time or part-time hours. Whether you are looking for 3 days a week, or full-time hours, we are happy to be flexible.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds current full AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, or occupational therapist, or accreditation with the AASW as a mental health social worker, and eligibility as a Medicare Provider under the MBS.
• Has demonstrated mental health clinical experience in delivering mental health services with proven skills and experience in providing a range of holistic, recovery-oriented, evidence-based therapeutic services.
• Has or is willing to apply to provide services within the Victim Service Scheme, Department of Veteran Affairs and/or Workers Compensation.
