About the Role
We are looking for a Level 1 Help Desk Engineer to provide onsite IT support for a well-known organisation in Chatswood, Sydney. This role is ideal for an IT professional with 1+ years of experience, looking to gain hands-on exposure in a dynamic enterprise environment.
As the first point of contact for IT support, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and eager to expand their technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide onsite and remote Level 1 technical support to end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues across Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner, escalating when necessary.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Document issues, solutions, and processes in the ticketing system.
• Provide basic training and guidance to end users on IT best practices.
• Work collaboratively with Level 2/3 engineers to enhance overall IT service delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
• 1+ years of experience in an IT support/help desk role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
• Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
• Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users in a clear and friendly manner.
• A strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Valid Australian working rights.
Bonus Points For:
• Experience with Azure, Intune, and IT security best practices.
• IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, etc.).
• Exposure to MSP (Managed Service Provider) environments.
