As a Senior Employee Relations Officer within the Employee Relations team, you'll provide strategic advice on HR polices, industrial relations, and employment frameworks - making a real difference and impact across the QPS.
From navigating enterprise bargaining to guiding senior leaders through complex disputes, you'll be at the heart of providing advice, developing policy and driving change.

The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Contribute to human resources projects and policy initiatives, including implementation of legislative change and the review and development of HR policies and HR Delegations.
• Provide high level advice timely and independent advice to management and staff on HR policy, employee/industrial relations issues, dispute resolution matters, employment frameworks and enterprise agreements.
• Provide interpretation advice on awards, enterprise agreements and legislation.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and clients and subject matter experts to support the development of HR policy and the negotiation, development, and implementation of industrial relations artifacts including enterprise agreements.
• Provide strategic IR advice and support, including case management activities, such as discipline, investigation, employee complaints and performance
management.
• Research, review and prepare reports, briefs, submissions, and other correspondence in range of case management, governance, industrial relations and
employee relations issues.
Role Requirements:
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
• Experience in HR policy development and/or legislative/industrial relations interpretive setting and possession of tertiary qualifications in employment law or industrial/employee relations fields will be highly regarded.
Other
• Interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
