About Us
SAACCON is the Peak Body in South Australia for the National Agreement on Closing the Gap (The National Agreement). Comprising over 20 member organisations, we are dedicated to supporting our members in delivering effective, culturally responsive services and expanding opportunities for Aboriginal people across the state. We actively collaborate with the Coalition of Peaks and partner with governments to influence policy and legislative changes aimed at Closing the Gap.
Our work is driven by the belief that strong, culturally accountable partnerships between the South Australian Government and Aboriginal organisations are key to achieving better outcomes for our communities and meeting Closing the Gap targets.
We are seeking a full time Senior Administration / Finance Officer to provide effective and comprehensive senior administrative and financial support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing timely and accurate financial and administrative support
- Providing leadership, training and delegation to the Administration Officer
- Manage procurement, including office consumables, accounts payable and receivable and bank reconciliation
- Prepare Activity Statements and ensure PAYG, GST and Superannuation payments are accurate and timely
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff, suppliers, public and government bodies
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding SAACCON, Leadership and Secretariat Executive and staff.
- Demonstrated self-management and organisational skills, including an ability to manage time, plan and prioritise own work
- Ensure appropriate records management process are followed
- A high level written and verbal communication skills and accurate numeracy skills
- Demonstrated ability to gather data from corporate information systems to ensure efficient and effective delivery of administrative services
About You
We are looking for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Person with demonstrated experience in contributing to the delivery of effective administrative services across an office, with experience in administration and history in finance, including with Xero software.
You will have experience in the Microsoft suite along with a range of record management and correspondence applications. You will have a proven ability to work independently, and within a team, to provide and communicate effectively with the Director of Business Services and the SAACCON Executive Team both verbally and in writing. You will also build strong collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders, whilst maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
