Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support key Electronic Warfare projects, delivering and sustaining critical Defence capabilities. You will apply your technical expertise, systems engineering knowledge, and project management skills to drive the successful delivery of cutting-edge Defence solutions that directly support Australia's warfighters.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Defence projects through capability lifecycle stages, providing technical input into key documentation and gate reviews.
• Perform complex engineering activities and provide expert advice on technical designs and solutions.
• Apply systems engineering principles to assess risks, manage uncertainties, and influence decision-making.
• Liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders within Defence and industry.
• Evaluate delivered solutions against technical, legislative, policy, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Washington Accord-recognised).
• Experience in systems engineering within Defence projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Experience in Communications Systems, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Combat Systems Engineering, or similar fields.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Australian citizenship and a current NV1 AGSVA clearance or above
