Your Opportunity

The Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) is NSW state program with formal partnerships between the NSW Health and Community Managed Organisations (CMOs).

The role will support and strengthen community-based responses to adults aged 16 years and older by providing holistic and individualized care. The recovery case worker will work in direct collaboration with various stakeholders to support the consumers to attain sustainable goals and outcomes.

This is a max term role with possibility of extension.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide support to consumers with their daily living skills and work alongside them to access the community and social activities.
  • Assist consumers and team members in the ongoing implementation of person-centered support plans through a range of varied activities.
  • Actively participate and contribute in team meetings, service planning days and internal and external supervision.
  • Support the program managers when required with various tasks in relation to the administration of the program
  • Assist in promotion and awareness of HASI and CLS by developing meaningful relationships with external services and stakeholders, families and significant others of the consumers.

Requirements for Success

  • Tertiary relevant qualification such as degree or a diploma or cert IV combined with significant relevant community service experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery orientated practices
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills
  • Drivers' License without any restrictions

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, work right checks and reference checks.
