What You’ll be doing:

Lead the Professional Development team to provide professional development services aligned with the RFS strategic direction and organisational objectives, with a focus on leadership development, young member programs, external learning opportunities, and supporting systems and processes.

Key functions include leadership development, young member services, management of professional development policies, procedures and systems, and external professional development opportunities.

The role has 3 direct reports, financial delegations, and an assigned budget. The role reports to the Director Learning and Development.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Skills and experience in professional development, leadership and/or training.
  • Experience in emergency management (desirable).
  • Genuine appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based community service.
  • A Degree or higher in a relevant discipline (e.g. Leadership, Human Resources, Business Management, Training, or equivalent).
