Workfast is looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a high-performing engineering team working on exciting defence projects and pipe systems. This role is based in our client's workshop in Seven Hills, NSW, offering a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale projects and contribute to innovative engineering solutions.

Job Type: Full-time casual ongoing position
Pay Rate: $56.00 per hour + Penalties + Super
Start Date: ASAP

What You Need:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Fitter Machinist
• Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or related field
• Forklift Licence (up to 16t forklift) - preferred
• Overhead crane training (Ticket beneficial)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
• Ability to obtain a current police check
• Reliable and dedicated with a positive attitude
• Own transport or reliable means of getting to work

What You Will Be Doing:

• Fitting and assembling mechanical components, systems, and equipment on to military vehicles and products
• Maintaining and repairing machinery and pipe systems
• Collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Following safety procedures and adhering to quality standards
• Completing general mechanical maintenance and repairs
