About the role

Be part of something special! Our brand new, state of the art Childcare Centre in Singleton is due to open its doors in early April 2025, and we are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team!

If your culinary skills can tempt even the fussiest of taste buds, we want to hear from you!

Duties will involve

• Creating seasonal menu plans and ensuring the pantry is stocked with fresh provisions to compliment the daily menu.
• The safe preparation and storage of food.
• Possess a diverse knowledge of menu planning that caters for children with allergies, food intolerances, or specific dietary needs such as gluten and dairy free.
• Strict adherence to food safety and hygienic work practices in food preparation areas and equipment.
• Food ordering
• Diligent record keeping as required by local food safety authorities.

What you will need

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary qualifications or experience (desirable).
• Food Safety Supervisor Training - SITXFSA006 & SITXFSA005.
• Experience in a childcare setting or similar
• Current WA Working with Children Card or willing to obtain.
• Child Protection Training or willing to obtain.
• Current CPR and First Aid in an Education and Care Setting - HLTAID012 or willing to obtain.
• The right to work in Australia.
