MAYDAY Recruitment are currently seeking multiple Customer Service Team Leaders for a NSW Government department to manage customer-focussed teams and complex grant applications. Helping members of the public in a time of need, effected by recent weather events.

These fully work from home opportunities offer the chance for real work-life balance for candidates based in New South Wales.

What's in it for you?

  • Start Date: ASAP start, staggered start dates over the next month to commence training.
  • Duration: 3 month temporary assignment to assist during a high volume period.
  • Pay Rate: $62.66 per hour + Super.
  • Location: Fully remote, anywhere in NSW (laptop, headset and keyboard provided).
  • Training: Attend virtual training sessions with your team, as well as continued support from experienced leaders within the organisation.
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week (between 8am - 5pm).
  • Gain valuable government exposure helping members of the public in a time of need.

The role:

  • Managing a customer service team of up to 20 agents, assisting with the processing on government grants in relation to recent weather events across NSW.
  • Allocating and coordinating workflow and identifying areas for improvement to ensure the smooth processing of grants.
  • Working on complex inquiries, able to handle challenging scenarios with empathy and logic.
  • Attend meetings with representatives of the Grants Manual Assessment Team.
  • Coach your team to develop their skills and build their capability/performance.
  • Monitoring team performance to ensure KPIs are upheld.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in a similar team management position.
  • Experience working within a high volume, complex customer environment.
  • Advocator for customer needs and the ability to approach with empathy.
  • Must be able to commit to the full duration of the assignment.
  • Must be based in NSW.
