Our client is a leading global manufacturer of critical power products and solutions, supplying a wide range of three / single phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS), transfer systems and rectifiers. Operating for nearly a century and with a footprint that extends across five continents, they are a true market leader, experiencing exciting growth in the Australian market.
Position & Responsibilities
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development of new project sales opportunities and accounts in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. You will also be responsible for the following:
- Achievement of direct project sales budget for the territory
- Follow and implement the yearly strategic sales business plan
- Develop and grow relationships with Tier 1 & 2 Electrical Contractors
- Engage with Consulting Firms and End Users to influence market demand
- Preparation of quotes and tenders
- Management, development and growth of end user accounts in Health, Government, Telecommunications, Data Centre and Education.
- Support existing and new distribution partners to promote UPS and critical power systems
- Submit monthly reports and forecasts.
Requirements
The successful applicant will ideally possess the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated project sales or business development experience in Critical Power, Electrical, Lighting, or Mechanical with a proven track record of success
- Strong reference able commercial relationships with Tier 1 & 2 Electrical Contractors is preferred
- Technical aptitude, with the ability to promote technical concepts and solutions
- Highly developed communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to present
- Well structured, energetic and self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently
The Offer
The successful applicant will receive an attractive salary package commensurate with experience, including a base salary of $125,000 - $135,000, plus Superannuation, $18,000 Car Allowance and a lucrative commission structure. You will also have the opportunity to establish yourself with a leading and progressive global organisation, in a highly autonomous role!
