We are looking for an experienced People Leader to provide day to day coordination, leadership and guidance to the Staff Deployment Officers in the provision of the daily roster and daily movement sheet (DMS) covering all operational employees, including but not limited to Ambulance, Patient Transport and the State Operations Centre.
What you’ll do:
- Provide day to day supervision and leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day function activities are achieved.
- Provide guidance to team members to assist them in dealing/managing unfamiliar tasks.
- Forecast and provide advice to management of the correct staffing and fleet levels required to achieve the desired service levels for the week ahead
- Stay abreast of changes in EBA’s to update internal policy
- Ensure Staff Deployment KPI’s are achieved to the required performance standard as determined by line manager.
- Provide daily reports to the Business Intelligence team to support broader organisational data efforts and ensure accuracy.
- Allocate and deploy staff in accordance with compliance with established business rules, procedures, safety requirements, rostering principles and award/agreement provisions.
- All vacancies are filled with appropriately qualified staff to cover vacancies and are directed to correct stations at correct times.
- Ensure Daily Movement Sheet (DMS) and all relevant documents are prepped for the SDO’s to utilise each fortnight.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure desired fleet resourcing is achieved.
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrated people management and leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing, planning and scheduling.
- Ability to develop reports for line manager as required.
- Previous experience in managing or supervising teams.
- Highly proficient in implementing, using, and maintaining systems and spreadsheets, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure services area outcomes, administration standards and expectations are achieved.
- Cert IV in Business Administration desirable.
