About AWI Consulting:
It's our goal to make a difference in whatever we do. AWI Consulting builds people’s connection to others, heals trauma, and assists our clients to be the best they can be. We use cutting edge evidence-based treatment modalities that simply WORK! Our best days are when we can discharge a client, as they no longer meet criteria for Complex PTSD or PTSD. We stand for interventions that enable ordinary people to live extraordinary lives and create a ripple effect of inspiration for those around them.
We have a big heart and an unwavering passion for success. You will be exposed to some of the best knowledge, inspiring people, and innovative resources available in the health and wellness sector. Our practitioners are experienced, supportive, and knowledgeable. Our Supervisors are self-confessed “EMDR nerds” with an ultimate goal to create a sanctuary at our practices where people of all ages can engage, connect and evolve as they share their stories in a safe respectful space with their practitioner, without judgement and with genuine care.
About the role:
Our growing practice needs practitioners that share the vision for healing trauma from the inside out, rather than the common band-aid approaches that focusses on symptoms. If you are an innovative practitioner, ready to join our ingenious team and be inspired, get cracking!
AWI Consulting is on a mission to welcome even more clients to our practice, to enhance their health and wellbeing and teach them how to create change from the inside out.
Experience working across the lifespan in counselling, working with intellectual and psychosocial disability, trauma therapy and treating survivors of complex trauma are highly regarded. We are avid supporters of providing a “top notch” service to our country clients and utilise EMDR therapy to treat trauma.
We recruit for attitude and train for skills.............. so, if you have an AMAZING ATTITUDE but don't tick all of the skills boxes, we can train and support you to be an amazing trauma informed practitioner.
Salary range (including Super, CPD, Supervision etc.) $70,000 to $120,000 dependent on suitable experience, registration, qualifications and skills.
Are you intensely passionate about working with people who have experienced trauma and directly helping them to transform their lives?
What about looking at embracing therapeutic supports that compliment more traditional approaches to wellbeing? (Think treating the cause, not just the symptoms!)
What about actually making an impact in people’s lives and contributing to their wellbeing?
If your answer is “YES!”, then this is the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
Be a real human with real human experiences that our real human clients can engage with easily with so that they can “Grow, Connect, Achieve”.
Help us to continue to build a sense of community and belonging within our practice, while embodying a culture of integrity, resilience, safety, and acceptance.
Effectively assess, manage, and treat various client conditions, discuss, or escalate to your supervisor if/as required.
Have a great sense of humour and be “good enough” at your own self care.
Be willing to contribute to the expansion of AWI Consulting outside the realms of ordinary private practice and be ready for your career to take off and expand.
Ensure feedback, trends, and insights flow to the Director in order for us to continuously improve the overall client experience.
Produce ideas and solutions that will improve the overall client experience.
Foster great relationships with referrers and other organisations within our awesome communities.

Your brain is inventive and seeks new challenges and opportunities and YOU are keen to soak up knowledge in treating complex trauma and dissociation. Training provided will include experiential components, so that our practitioners can actually say that the therapy they utilise works! You will be a motivated self-starter that can work both within a team and autonomously.
Provisional Psychologists and early career professionals are encouraged to apply. Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists with relevant trauma experience or a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply for positions based in Wagga, Young, and Cowra.
