The Role

This is an opportunity for an insurance litigator to join a national team of 50 lawyers led by the Practice Lead who sits in Brisbane. With approx. 10 lawyers in QLD, this role has a lot of flexibility and can be worked remotely. This is a collegiate group that works well together despite the distances and supports each other in the work they do. There will be a mixed portfolio of national matters and regular counselling provided.

In this role you will be working in the human services sectors of peoples with vulnerabilities. Day to day work will include:

• Advising and representing claimants nationally in historical institutional child-sexual abuse claims;
• Liaising with various stakeholders, including medical experts;
• Investigating facts.

Suitability:

• 3+ years experience in personal injuries law or abuse law;
• Excellent communication skills are a must;
• Ability to display strong empathy and build strong rapports with stakeholders;
• Solid academics
