Seeking enthusiastic and experienced Coal Driller Assistants to join our team working in the Bowen Basin Region. We offer training opportunities, including Nationally Certified training, working with a fleet of new Boart Longyear LF160 rigs, enjoy an even time 2:2 roster giving you that work life balance, you will also receive a competitive shift rate with bonus eligibility and leave entitlements.

This role is FIFO from Brisbane with meals, accommodation and flights paid for. Local DIDO workers are encouraged to apply.

Safety first with involvement in daily pre-start equipment checks, general maintenance, completion of safety documentation and compliance with safe work practices Operate ancillary equipment including onsite trucks; Assist to set up/dismantle/move drill rigs and equipment; Assist with loading and unloading heavy vehicles, following Safe Work Instructions; Add/remove drill rods/augers and other downhole tools; Clean drill rigs, vehicles, equipment, and tooling; assist in routine maintenance on drill rigs, equipment, vehicles and tools; assist with mixing drilling fluids and cement as required; Maintain adequate water supply for drilling operations; Assist in maintaining the drill site, drill rig, vehicles, ancillary equipment and work area.

A few things we’re looking for:

HR Drivers Licence (essential)

Current First Aid & CPR or willing to obtain

Ability to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance

Certificate II / III in Drilling Operations (essential)

Section 11 Inductions completed (essential)

Previous experience in the Drilling industry

Demonstrated personal commitment to working safely. Be a team player with good interpersonal skills

All candidates will be required to submit a recent National Police Clearance with their application, and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical, including Coal Board medical.
