As the Compliance Manager you will work with the Executive team to ensure a bespoke governance & compliance framework is embedded across the organisation. This role will provide specialist advice, managing any compliance incidents; building strong relationships with regulators, Government departments, distributors and other third-party organisations; responding to regulator requests and queries.

Primary accountabilities include:

• Establish and lead streamlined, effective, ethical, and best practice compliance ensuring compliance practices adhere to legislative obligations.
• Evaluate existing compliance frameworks and programs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support leaders to understand their compliance requirements both with respect to legislative and regulatory requirements as well as corporate governance and best practice models.
• Develop and conduct training as required for internal Stakeholders.
• Support management with its investigation and remediation of compliance breaches and implementation of audit actions.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

• A proven background in developing, implementing and maintaining a compliance framework within an organisation (Exp Within energy is highly advantageous, would also consider retail/consumer product industry backgrounds.
• A strong understanding over the legal and financial structures within organisations and the compliance needs of complex organisations.
• Experience in investigating allegations in a highly sensitive and confidential environment.
• Relevant Tertiary qualifications.
