The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a permanent full time basis. This role is responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance, focusing on minimising downtime and optimising equipment performance. This is a hand-on role that would suit someone with excellent problem solving and organisational skills.

Responsibilities
- Plan and perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal working condition and prevent failures before they occur.
- Respond to unexpected breakdowns or equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot to identify the root cause of the problem.
- Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring that repairs are done safely and efficiently, following industry standards and company procedures.
- Manage external vendors/suppliers
Our ideal candidate
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical
- Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/pharmaceutical/FMCG industry would be highly regarded
- Experience in utilities, including HVAC, Boilers, Air Compressors etc would be highly regarded
- Hands-On and Practical – Enjoys working with their hands, carrying out repairs, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels
- Ability to be flexible with potential conflicting priorities
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Team player, willing to communicate and collaborate with different departments as needed
