About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef / Cook to join our team at Tamworth Meals on Wheels Inc' in Tamworth, NSW 2340. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our local community. As a key member of our passionate team, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional food services to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Plan, prepare and cook a variety of nutritious and flavourful meals for our Meals on Wheels service
• Ensure all meals meet food safety and quality standards
• Manage kitchen operations, including ordering and stock management
• Contribute to the development of seasonal menus
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in a high-volume or institutional catering environment
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
• Passion for creating delicious, nutritious meals
• Ability to work well in a team
• As an Aged Care service we require a minimum of two covid vaccinations and an annual flu vaccination
