Cranbourne Transit Pty Ltd (a subsidiary of Pulitano Invesments Pty Ltd) specialises in providing School, and Urban bus services in Cranbourne and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a Workshop trade qualified auto electrician to join our maintenance team.

About the role
To assist the Workshop Manager in maximising the reliability, safety, efficiency and availability of the bus fleet. Provide technical skills in the field of auto-electrics to support the repair and maintenance of the bus fleet.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of electrical and axillary systems fitted to the bus fleet including CCTV systems, two-way radios and door systems;
- Repair and maintain electrical and auxiliary systems fitted to the bus fleet using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions; dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components; installing electrical equipment and electronic components in buses; connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply; adjusting engine control systems and timing testing and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors; repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring; replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches;
- Carry out repairs and maintenance as per the Manufacturer’s specifications, National Heavy Vehicle Inspection Manual and any applicable legislation or vehicle standards;
- Fault finding, diagnosis and general repairs;
- Ensuring accurate and up to date entry to the workshop database.
Skills and experience
To be successful candidates will need to demonstrate:
- Minimum of AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
- Experience in fleet maintenance programs;
- Ability to work independently and or as part of a team;
- Problem solving skills, strategic thinker, attention to detail;
- Ability to work shift work;
- Hold a valid MR/HR licence
