About the role

Lonsdale St Auto Electrics Pty Ltd, a leading automotive electrical service provider, is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician, Tradesman to join our team in Dandenong South, Victoria. As an Auto Electrician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing the electrical systems of a wide range of vehicles, from passenger cars to commercial trucks and buses.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in vehicles, including troubleshooting and resolving problems with batteries, alternators, starters, wiring, and electrical systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on electrical components to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Install and configure new electrical equipment, such as alarms, audio systems, and lighting modifications
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and keeping them informed of the progress and status of their vehicles
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
• Comply with all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment

What we're looking for

• Formal trade qualification as an Auto Electrician, with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the automotive industry
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex electrical issues
• Air-Conditioning diagnosis and repair experience
• Familiarity with the latest automotive electrical systems, technologies, and diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to our Dandenong South location
